Blondie and Brownie

Makes 15 Fudgy Brownies


  • 125g butter, chopped
  • 125g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 43g plain flour
  • 40g Bournville Cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 250g light Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 112g caster sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten



  1. Grease and line a 18 x 23cm pan. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
  2. Combine the butter, chocolate and brown sugar in a saucepan and stir over a medium heat until the chocolate and butter have melted. Remove from heat and whisk in the eggs
  3. Add the sifted flour, cocoa and baking powder. Stir until well combined then pour into the lined pan
  4. Beat the cream cheese, caster sugar and extra egg until smooth and creamy. Pour the cream cheese over the chocolate mixture and swirl with the top of a knife
  5. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through. Cool on a wire rack before slicing into squares
